USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu" is a public institution of higher medical education founded in 1945, with a long-standing tradition in training highly qualified physicians and pharmacists from the country and abroad. Admission is based on application documents, an interview, and, where applicable, a written test. Documents may be submitted by email (foreign@usmf.md) or in person at the university.
The application must include the following documents: a high school diploma, academic transcript, copy of passport, birth certificate, photographs, certified translations, and a completed application form.
Tuition fees range from €3,150 to €7,800 per year, depending on the study programme and language of instruction.
Yes, international students can be accommodated on campus in rooms for 1–3 persons. Rates range from €100 to €150 per month.

Programmes are available in Romanian, English, French or Russian. Romanian language study is compulsory.
Yes, USMF is accredited in line with WFME standards, and its diplomas are recognized according to the regulations of the destination country.

Students admitted to studies can obtain, with university support, a temporary residence permit in the Republic of Moldova for the duration of their studies.
Yes, it is mandatory. To obtain the residence permit, a provisional insurance for 3 months must be purchased. Afterwards, a national health insurance policy is purchased annually.
USMF offers language courses, mentoring, cultural activities, administrative support and psychological counselling.
Clinical practice begins in the 3rd year, in university hospitals and clinics, under the supervision of professors.
